Customer Journey Mapping: A Tool for Wealth Building in Latino Communities
Assisting families to progress from financial crisis to financial wellness is a journey requiring customer-centric strategies in order to strengthen family engagement. Join us for this upcoming webinar outlining how a customer-centered approach to financial wellness can increase the impact of your financial empowerment programs. The program will also feature a customer journey mapping tool that can be used to help families receive the support they need to sustain their financial health and achieve their financial goals.

Indiana Bar Foundation Legal Aid Clinics
Hoosiers facing eviction can talk to a lawyer at free legal aid clinics offered regularly around the state. At a clinic, lawyers are there to explain tenant’s rights and responsibilities, prepare participants for the eviction process, help with eviction sealing, and provide referrals to other services. Clinics are held in person at convenient locations like courts or libraries or remotely through Zoom. Learn about upcoming free legal aid clinics on the Indiana Legal Help website. There are virtual eviction clinics open to all Hoosiers every week in April. |

Advocacy Action
Visit Prosperity Indiana’s Advocacy Action Center and use our live action alert to urge U.S. Senators Todd Young and Mike Braun to express support for and vote for the Child Tax Credit expansion legislation in its current form, as it arrived from the United States House of Representatives. It stands to benefit 326,000 Hoosier children– particularly those of low income families –if it becomes law.

First Financial Bank's New $2.4 Billion Community Benefits Agreement From Greensburg to Gary and from Carmel to Columbus, First Financial Bank (Nasdaq: FFBC) has deep, historical ties to people and businesses throughout the Hoosier state. The bank’s focus is on being a positive influence to help clients and communities thrive.
First Financial’s community involvement is now entering a bold new phase, through its $2.4 billion, five-year Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) and related partner organizations. The CBA establishes goals for lending and investments to low- and moderate-income (LMI) clients and census tracts. The new agreement follows the successful conclusion of First Financial’s previous CBA, during which it achieved 192 percent of its $1.75 billion goal in lending and investments for 2018-2023.
“Our new Community Benefits Agreement is a bold statement about how First Financial intends to continue its mission to improve lives and help communities thrive,” said Archie Brown, president and CEO of First Financial. “These are neighborhoods where we live and work, and we are taking a leading role in helping our neighbors achieve goals and improve their financial wellbeing.”
First Financial will open a new financial center in Speedway in 2024 as part of its commitment under the CBA for branch distribution and access. The agreement also includes goals for mortgage lending, small business lending, community development lending and investments in affordable housing, philanthropy, and marketing and communications. Additionally, First Financial’s CBA includes goals for vendor spending with minority-owned, women-owned and disability-owned business enterprises and vendor owned-businesses.
These activities will benefit communities throughout Indiana, as well as the rest of First Financial’s multi-state footprint. Residents and business owners can ask their local First Financial banker for more information.
