The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) subsides the acquisition, construction, and rehabilitation of affordable rental housing for low- and moderate-income tenants. These tax credits are an amazing tool in project development but are extremely competitive to receive. This program will help you understand the processes, benefits, and pitfalls of pursing tax credit funding for your project.

Communities nationwide are suffering from a lack of affordable housing, and housing production is not meeting the increasing demand for accessible and affordable units in urban and rural areas. HUD’s Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) issued a NOFO to support communities who are actively taking steps to remove barriers caused by outdated zoning, land use policies, or regulations. To serve you even better, we're thrilled to announce a few exciting new changes. - Prosperity Indiana welcomes Daniel Stroud to the team as Communications Specialist. He brings a background in data-driven marketing, social media, and creative design in the nonprofit context.
- Prosperity Indiana has promoted Hale Crumley from Coalition Coordinator to Policy Manager. She will continue to convene our statewide advocacy coalitions while also building members' capacity to advocate, conducting research, and furthering PI's capacity to pursue the policy priorities identified by our members.

The Prosperity Indiana team recently announced the launch of our brand new member benefit to help you Get to Know Your Legislators and take your advocacy capacity to the next level. We believe that building lasting relationships with your legislators in order to influence public policy is key to the work of strengthening our communities. However, we know that engaging with local, state, and federal elected officials can be intimidating at first. That's why we're here to help!

Who Owns Indy’s Houses: A Review of the Largest Single-Family Home Investors
As homeownership disparities increase in Indianapolis and across the state, large corporate investors, mostly from out-ofstate and heavily funded by Wall Street, have taken a significant hold of the city’s single-family homes. These corporate owners purchase properties at rapid rates, often converting formerly owner-occupied homes into rentals, and out-competing individual home buyers with all-cash offers. CFPB Kicks Off Rulemaking to Remove Medical Bills from Credit Reports
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) announced it is beginning a rulemaking process to remove medical bills from Americans’ credit reports. The CFPB outlined proposals under consideration that would help families financially recover from medical crises, stop debt collectors from coercing people into paying bills they may not even owe, and ensure that creditors are not relying on data that is often plagued with inaccuracies and mistakes.
