Navigating the Taxation of Hoosiers' Student Loan Debt Forgiveness

On August 24, 2022, the Biden Administration announced a one-time cancellation of up to $20,000 in federal student loan debt for qualified borrowers. Additionally, changes to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program that expire on October 31, 2022 provide a limited opportunity for borrowers who were not previously eligible for PSLF. Both the one-time cancellation and PSLF could impact your 2022 tax return. Join us online on October 17th to learn more about federal student loan forgiveness and the impact on your federal and state taxes.

This is a FREE learning session hosted by the Indiana Assets & Opportunity Network on public benefits and programs.
