Advocacy 201: The Strategies

The second webinar in a three-part series that will empower you as a nonprofit advocate and prepare you for the 2025 legislative session. 

Advocacy 101 provided you with an understanding of what advocacy legally means for nonprofit organizations and staff and the regulations involved in influencing public policy. Now Advocacy 102 will teach you how to advocate.  When you go to draft that call to action tweet, what do you even say? If you want to get a meeting with a legislator, how do you do that? When you do get that meeting, how do you successfully make a compelling case for your cause? This workshop will prepare you to strategically engage on the policies that interest you. 

Participants will learn:

• How to develop impactful, long-term relationships with legislators
• The how-to's of discussing an issue and presenting your solution
• Hot topic angles that may help your issue get more attention
