The 2027 legislative session will set the State of Indiana's next budget, which wil be in effect until 2029. We in the community economic development sector must be prepared to advocate for ourselves and the valuable work that we do. We cannot afford another biennium of drastic cuts, and neither can the Hoosier families we serve.

Prosperity Indiana will be hosting a webinar with Michael Mitchell from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities to prepare us to more effectively analyze, frame, and engage on debates about our state's budget. This will help all of us think about how to read and interpret budget proposals, identify key opportunities for advocacy, and communicate budget priorties and values, including practical examples and strategies that can be used throughout the process.
